Charterkeep
By Royal assent, you are granted a charter to build a prosperous village in a idyllic piece of countryside. Choose your site well, and fend off waves of raiders and renegade lords with strategically placed fortifications and defenders.
Charterkeep is a small medieval town-builder about making every tile count. After each revenue goal is achieved, the Crown’s herald sets a new income goal. Grow your town’s earnings to meet it before time runs out, or lose the charter.
Every building earns more from what’s around it. Houses near the keep pay more, farms beside water get irrigated, and workshops thrive next to a market.
Buildings only earn once a road (or other connected building) connects them to the keep.
Balance your people: Overcrowded houses earn less, and workshops without enough housed workers sit idle.
Raiders will come for your coffers. Recruit spearmen and archers, garrison your citadel, and crew your boats.
Survive sieges by breaking the catapults before the army storms your walls.
Send adventurers from the tavern to recover lost treasure.
Every run counts: earn coins to spend on upgrades for your next run.
Missed a goal? Pray at the church to buy back a life. Between runs, spend your progress on upgrades and take a new charter.
